Oma and Opa Vacation at Lake Tahoe

Oma, Opa, kids and grandkids vacationed at the East Sore of Lake Tahoe.  They stayed at a condo at   

Crystal Bay near Incline Village.   The condominium was right at the shore with easy access to the cool, cool water ....

Amy and family came in from Utah ....

... uncle Rob came in from Sacramento's UC Davis ...

All tried the various activities for which Lake Tahoe is known: kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, biking and ... relaxing.  (See next blog spots).  A great time was had by all.  We are grateful for our family and its blessings!

Grandkids Visit with Uncle Rob

Uncle Rob came to town to visit with the boys and brought them each a set of Lego Transformers ...

... then went through their own 'nutty' transformation ...

Grandkids Visit Beef Unit

After the Gucci pigs, we visited the Beef Unit, a partnership between the University and Sierra Nevada Brewery.  Steers in this feedlot are 'happy' steers ...

Grandkids Visit Swine Unit

We received a guided tractor tour through the 800 acres university farm, starting with the Swine Unit ...

As this is an organic farm we were required to wear elegant Gucci boots for biosecurity reasons ...

... the sows were delighted to see us and let us know what they thought of us ....

... the piglets were very busy ....

Next, we went to see the 'weaned' litters ...

... and then up to the beef unit ....

After spending the morning at the Big Creek, the boys decided to ride the sharks in the pool ...
